The City of Cape Coral has spent considerable time, dollars, and resources in providing an efficient method to schedule and verify results of your inspections. We have two automated methods to schedule inspections: 1. For Limited service using the automated phone system, to schedule inspections call 855-636-2824.

Each inspection must pass in order to move onto the next phase of building. Once the property passes all inspections a CO (certificate of occupancy) packet is assembled and submitted to the city. The city can take 24-48 hours to review and approve it and then issue a certificate of occupancy.

For general permitting questions call (239) 574-0546 or email permits@capecoral.gov . All contractors must apply for permits via www.CapeCoral.gov/energov. In-person (owner-builder permits only) and online applications are processed in order of receipt. Permits are not immediately issued at the Permitting Counter.

With the new Citizen's Self Service Portal, you can search Permits, Plans and schedule Inspections. You will need to register and create an account. You can schedule an appointment to view or get copies of your building plans from the Microfilm and Plans Library.
